Nano Banana Prompt Guide: Copy-Ready Prompts for Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2
Nano banana prompt guide: a short formula and ten copy-ready prompts, each with the real Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 outputs from Omnely and the credits used.

This nano banana prompt guide gives a short formula, ten copy-ready prompts run on both Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2, and the real side-by-side outputs each one produced on Omnely with credits shown. Every prompt below was generated once per model at 1K: Nano Banana Pro charged 15 credits per output and Nano Banana 2 charged 8, so each pair in this post cost 23 credits.

Hand-painted wooden trail sign reading "LAKE TRAIL 2 KM" in white capital letters on a weathered green board, mounted on a post beside a pine forest path, soft overcast light, photorealistic, 3:2

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
Try it on Nano Banana 2 or Nano Banana Pro.

The nano banana prompt formula
The prompting guides from Google Cloud, Google (the Nano Banana Pro prompt tips post) and Google DeepMind share the same core slots. Fill them in order so the prompt leaves fewer blanks open.
The slots:
- Subject and action: the one thing the image is about, doing something specific
- Location or context: where it is and what is around it
- Composition and aspect ratio: framing (close-up, flat lay, wide), plus a ratio written into the prompt such as 16:9 or 4:5
- Style: photorealistic, watercolor, flat vector, botanical diagram
- Camera and lighting: angle, lens feel, time of day, light direction
- Exact quoted text: every word that must appear in the image, in quotes, with capitalisation and punctuation as it should render
- Constraints in positive words: state what is in; add short negatives like "no text" or "no people" only where they matter
- Reference roles: when passing images, say what each reference is (subject, style, pose, background)
Reusable template:
[subject] [action], [location or context], [composition], [style], [camera and lighting], include the exact text "[WORDS]" in [where], [aspect ratio], [positive constraints]
Four tips grounded in the research:
- Quote the exact text. If the words matter, put them inside double quotes, in the case that should appear.
- Write the aspect ratio inside the prompt. Every prompt in this post states its ratio in the text (for example 16:9 or 4:5) and also sets it in the request.
- Give every reference image a role. Say "use image 1 for the character and image 2 for the background."
- Change one thing at a time. If a run misses, keep everything else and edit a single slot.
The same slot structure can be used as a starting point on other image models on Omnely, including GPT Image 2 and Seedream 5.0 Pro.

1. Trail sign text
Hand-painted wooden trail sign reading "LAKE TRAIL 2 KM" in white capital letters on a weathered green board, mounted on a post beside a pine forest path, soft overcast light, photorealistic, 3:2
The real Pro and Nano Banana 2 outputs for this prompt are the pair at the top of this post.
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered LAKE TRAIL 2 KM in white capitals on a weathered green board on a post beside a forest path. Nano Banana Pro frames the sign large and close; Nano Banana 2 pulls back for a wider scene with the sign smaller on the right and the path on the left.
2. Seed packet text
Front of a vintage seed packet with an illustrated pink sweet pea flower, the words "SWEET PEA" in large cream letters, the smaller line "Lathyrus odoratus" in italics, and "50 seeds" in the bottom corner, kraft paper background, flat lay, 4:5, no other text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered SWEET PEA, the italic Lathyrus odoratus and 50 seeds on kraft paper with pink sweet pea flowers, with no misspelling and no extra text. The title lettering differs: Nano Banana Pro uses plain cream capitals, Nano Banana 2 uses a more decorative display face. Nano Banana Pro sits the packet on a warm wood table, Nano Banana 2 on darker planks.
Scenes and light
3. Foggy pine forest
Foggy pine forest at dawn, shafts of pale gold light between the trunks, a narrow dirt path curving into the mist, moss on the ground, photorealistic landscape photograph, 16:9, no people, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered a foggy pine forest with light shafts between the trunks, moss, and a dirt path curving away, with no people and no text. Nano Banana Pro's light reads as broad and hazy; Nano Banana 2's beams are narrower and the path is more distinct.
4. Scandinavian living room
Scandinavian living room with a sloped wooden ceiling, a deep green velvet sofa, a round oak coffee table and a tall window, late afternoon sun on the floorboards, architectural interior photograph, 3:2, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered a sloped wooden ceiling with beams, a deep green velvet sofa, a round oak coffee table, a tall window and sun on the floorboards. Nano Banana 2 added items the prompt did not ask for: a throw blanket, cushions, a shelf, framed pictures and plants. Nano Banana Pro kept the room sparser.
Characters, counts and diagrams
5. Robot gardener mascot
Flat vector mascot of a friendly robot gardener holding a watering can, rounded body in mint green and white, a small sprout growing from its head, clean outlines, plain pale yellow background, 1:1, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered a mint-green and white robot with a sprout on its head and a watering can, on a pale yellow background. Nano Banana Pro drew a compact close-up mascot holding the can. Nano Banana 2 drew a full-body robot tipping the can over a potted plant and added a grass patch and extra sprouts the prompt did not mention.
6. Six hot air balloons
Exactly six hot air balloons floating over a patchwork valley of fields, each balloon a single solid color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, clear morning sky, photorealistic, 16:9, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered exactly six hot air balloons, each a single solid color in the order red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, over a patchwork valley with no text. Both counted correctly. Nano Banana Pro's balloons sit smaller in the frame; Nano Banana 2's are larger.
7. Sunflower anatomy diagram
Botanical anatomy diagram of a sunflower on a white background with five thin leader lines and these exact labels in clean sans-serif capitals: "PETAL", "DISC", "STEM", "LEAF", "ROOT", flat illustration style, 4:5, no other text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs rendered a sunflower diagram on white with exactly the five labels PETAL, DISC, STEM, LEAF and ROOT, spelled correctly in sans-serif capitals, each with a thin leader line, and no other text. Nano Banana 2's disc shows a seed pattern; Nano Banana Pro's disc is a flat dark circle.
Hands and product labels
8. Pianist's hands
Close-up of a pianist's hands playing a grand piano, all ten fingers visible on the keys, warm stage light from the upper left, shallow depth of field, photorealistic, 3:2, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: Nano Banana Pro shows one hand clearly on the keys with the second hand out of frame, so the instruction that all ten fingers be visible is not met, and it added gold STEINWAY PIANO lettering on the piano despite the "no text" constraint. Nano Banana 2 shows both hands on the keys, plus reflections of hands in the glossy lid and a red strip across the keys; it carries no legible text. Finger counts were not verified in either run.
9. Sparkling water can
Minimalist tall aluminum can of sparkling water with a pale yellow label reading "CITRUS FIZZ" in bold sans-serif, a single lemon slice illustration under the name, standing on a light grey surface, soft studio light, product photo, 4:5, no other text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: Nano Banana Pro rendered CITRUS FIZZ in bold capitals on a pale yellow label with a single lemon wedge drawing and nothing else, matching the prompt. Nano Banana 2 rendered CITRUS FIZZ and a round lemon slice but added the lines SPARKLING WATER and NATURALLY FLAVORED, which the prompt excluded with "no other text"; it also added a window behind the can and an open pull tab.
A reference-image prompt
10. Bakery as watercolor from a reference
This one uses a single reference image: a bakery storefront picture was passed to both models. Nano Banana Pro accepts up to 14 reference images, Nano Banana 2 accepts up to 8, so one is well inside both limits. For a walk-through of the reference flow on Omnely, see how to use Nano Banana Pro.
Redraw the reference image as a loose watercolor painting on cold-press paper. Keep the same composition and the same bakery building, soft pastel washes, visible paper grain, 1:1, no text

Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 15 credits (real Omnely output).

Nano Banana 2, 1K, 8 credits (real Omnely output).
What the pair shows: both outputs kept the same bakery building, awning, door, hanging sign, plants and base from the reference image and redrew it as a watercolor with visible paper texture. Nano Banana Pro uses a warmer ochre wash behind the building; Nano Banana 2 is paler and shows a paper edge. Both accepted the single reference image without trouble.

In this run, each Nano Banana Pro 1K output cost 15 credits and each Nano Banana 2 1K output cost 8 credits. Overall tally across the ten pairs: both models rendered the exact quoted text in prompts 1, 2 and 7 and counted six balloons in prompt 6; Nano Banana Pro followed "no other text" in prompt 9 where Nano Banana 2 added lines; Nano Banana Pro added brand lettering in prompt 8 despite "no text"; Nano Banana 2 added extra scene items in prompts 4 and 5. These are single examples, not a benchmark.
Omnely also lists a third model, Nano Banana 2.1, with its own credit and reference limits; this post compares Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 only. For the full feature breakdown between these two, see Nano Banana 2 vs Nano Banana Pro. For more Nano Banana Pro prompts covering a product tote, headphones, a pour-over diagram and object swaps, see Nano Banana Pro prompts. Credit costs are summarised in the Nano Banana Pro price breakdown.
Fixing a nano banana prompt that misses
- Model added extra text (prompt 9): try repeating "no other text" and list the only strings allowed, in quotes, like
only the text "CITRUS FIZZ" appears on the label. - Model added brand lettering where none was asked (prompt 8): try stating the surface should be blank, for example
plain lid with no logo and no brand name. - Model added scene items the prompt did not list (prompts 4 and 5): try writing the scene as a closed list, for example
the room contains only a sofa, a coffee table and a window. - A hand or body part is wrong or missing (prompt 8): try naming the body parts and their position, for example
both hands on the keys, all ten fingers visible, hands enter the frame from the bottom. - Change only one slot per retry: keep subject, style and ratio stable, and edit the slot that failed. This is a habit the Google prompt guides recommend.
FAQ
How many reference images do Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 accept?
Nano Banana Pro on Omnely accepts up to 14 reference images per generation. Nano Banana 2 accepts up to 8. The Google prompt guides recommend giving each reference image a role in the prompt.
How many credits is a nano banana prompt?
On Omnely, Nano Banana Pro charges 15 credits at 1K, 15 at 2K and 20 at 4K per output. Nano Banana 2 charges 8 at 1K, 12 at 2K and 15 at 4K. The ten pairs in this post were all 1K, so each pair cost 23 credits.
Do these prompts work on other image models on Omnely?
The same slot structure (subject, action, location, composition, aspect ratio, style, camera, exact quoted text, constraints, reference roles) can also be used as a starting point on GPT Image 2 and Seedream 5.0 Pro. The exact rendering of text, counts and scene items can differ by model.
Which is better, Nano Banana Pro or Nano Banana 2?
It depends on the job. In the ten pairs here, Nano Banana Pro held closer to "no other text" on the sparkling water label, while Nano Banana 2 showed both of the pianist's hands on the keys and a seed pattern on the sunflower disc. Both got exact quoted text, the balloon count and the labels right. Nano Banana Pro costs more credits per 1K output and accepts up to 14 references; Nano Banana 2 costs fewer credits and accepts up to 8.
