Midjourney Pricing in 2026: Every Plan Explained and an All-in-One Image Alternative

Midjourney pricing from Midjourney's own plans page: Basic, Standard, Pro and Mega, GPU hours, and the same prompts on three image models in Omnely.

Title card: Midjourney Pricing: Plans, GPU Hours and an Alternative

Midjourney sells four subscription tiers, and midjourney pricing starts at Basic for $10 a month and tops out at Mega for $120 a month, with Standard at $30 and Pro at $60 in between. Annual billing shaves 20% off each tier, paid upfront, according to Midjourney's "Comparing Midjourney Plans" help page. Every tier is a renewing subscription — the plans page does not list a one-off or trial option.

How midjourney pricing works: GPU hours, Fast and Relax

Midjourney does not charge per image. Instead, each plan rents a bucket of GPU time per month, and every generation burns a slice of that bucket. That is the core of midjourney pricing.

Fast GPU time is the priority queue. According to Midjourney's GPU Speed help page, a typical image prompt uses about one minute of Fast time. An SD prompt averages 0.8 minutes, an HD prompt 1.3 minutes, a creative or subtle upscale about 2 minutes, and a batch of four SD videos roughly 8 minutes. Turbo Mode runs faster but consumes double the Fast time per job. Fast time resets at renewal and does not carry over.

Relax Mode is the slower queue that does not touch Fast hours. Standard includes Relax for images. Pro and Mega extend Relax to images and SD video. Basic has no Relax at all, so once the 200 minutes are gone, the only path forward is extra GPU time.

Extra GPU time costs $4 per hour on every plan, per Midjourney's plans page — the only published midjourney price that is purely usage-based.

Stealth Mode, which keeps images and videos off the public gallery, is restricted to Pro and Mega. There is also a terms line to be aware of: Midjourney's plans page says companies with more than $1,000,000 USD in gross yearly revenue must sit on Pro or Mega.

Concurrency scales with the tier too. Basic and Standard allow 3 concurrent Fast prompts. Pro and Mega raise the ceiling to 12 Fast or 3 Relax jobs at once.

Which Midjourney plan fits which user

Basic suits occasional hobbyists. The 200-minute budget covers roughly 200 standard image prompts a month, assuming no upscales and no Turbo Mode. Running out means buying extra GPU time or waiting for renewal — there is no Relax fallback.

Standard is the first tier that unlocks Relax Mode for images. For creators who generate daily but can tolerate a queue when Fast runs out, Standard is the common sweet spot. Fifteen hours of Fast time equals roughly 900 standard prompts if used lightly.

Pro adds Stealth Mode, SD video in Relax, and the higher 12-job concurrency. This tier is aimed at freelancers, agencies, and anyone who wants private generations. It is also the first tier that meets the company revenue rule.

Mega doubles Pro's Fast time to 60 hours. It fits studios that run high volumes of upscales, HD prompts or video batches and would otherwise run past 30 Fast hours a month.

Same prompts on three other image models

Midjourney is not available on Omnely — it has its own account, its own Discord and web app, and its own billing. For readers comparing look and workflow, below are the same two prompts run on three image models that do live on Omnely: Nano Banana 2.1 (from the Nano Banana 2 family), GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (OpenAI, a newer sibling of GPT Image 2) and Seedream 5.0 Pro. All outputs are 1K, 16:9.

PROMPT A

Cinematic portrait of an elderly lighthouse keeper in a yellow raincoat at dusk, storm clouds behind the lighthouse, rim light from the lamp, rain droplets on the coat, shallow depth of field, moody teal and amber color grade, 16:9, no text

*GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, 8 credits at 1K (high quality): knit beanie, white beard, an orange sunset line on the horizon behind the lighthouse.*

PROMPT B

Luxury product shot of a faceted glass perfume bottle on wet black stone, rose petals and soft mist, a single beam of warm backlight, high-end beauty campaign style, photorealistic, 16:9, no text, no logos

GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst also offers a medium-quality tier at 4, 6, and 10 credits for 1K/2K/4K. Seedream 5.0 Pro includes one reference image per generation; each additional reference adds 1 credit.

When an all-in-one midjourney alternative makes sense

A midjourney alternative that bills per image behaves differently from one that rents GPU hours. GPU-hour plans suit steady batch sessions, because the monthly Fast hours and Relax Mode are there to be used every cycle. Per-image credits suit irregular use: four hero shots on Seedream 5.0 Pro at 1K come to 40 credits, and the count follows the outputs actually made.

Workflow is the other axis. Midjourney has strengths that are hard to replicate — its own house aesthetic, Relax Mode as a true overflow queue, Discord-based prompting, and a large public gallery community on the web app. For creators whose brand already leans on that look, those are real reasons to stay.

An all-in-one workspace trades that single-model depth for breadth: one login that covers several image models (Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2, Seedream 5.0 Pro and others), plus chat and video, all sharing the same credit pool. The question is not which is objectively correct — it is whether a project needs the Midjourney look specifically, or needs the ability to A/B the same prompt across model families in one window.

FAQ

Does Midjourney offer a trial?

Midjourney's "Comparing Midjourney Plans" help page lists only the four paid subscription tiers — Basic, Standard, Pro, and Mega. The page does not describe a trial. Any trial availability would be announced separately by Midjourney.

What is a GPU hour?

A GPU hour is 60 minutes of compute time on Midjourney's rendering hardware. According to Midjourney's GPU Speed help page, one standard image prompt uses about one minute, an SD prompt 0.8 minutes, an HD prompt 1.3 minutes, and an upscale around 2 minutes. Turbo Mode doubles consumption. A 15-hour Standard bucket therefore covers roughly 900 standard prompts, fewer if the session is upscale-heavy or Turbo-heavy.

Can a company use the Basic plan?

Midjourney's plans page states that companies with more than $1,000,000 USD in gross yearly revenue must subscribe to Pro or Mega. Smaller companies and solo operators can use Basic or Standard, subject to Midjourney's current terms.

Is Midjourney available on Omnely?

No. Midjourney is not one of the models offered on Omnely. The image models that do live on Omnely include Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, and Seedream 5.0 Pro, among others.

How many credits does one image cost on Omnely?

Costs depend on the model and resolution. At 1K, Nano Banana 2.1 and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (high) each cost 8 credits per image, and Seedream 5.0 Pro costs 10 credits. At 2K, the same three run 15, 15, and 20 credits. GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst also offers a medium-quality tier starting at 4 credits for 1K. New users get free credits when they sign up, and the image models need a paid Omnely plan.
